All our hard work preparing for our Pesach S’darim really paid off! We watched with pride as the children engaged, sang, danced, and yelled out answers to all of Louise’s questions. Celebrating together with our families, we read from our Haggadot, sang, ate symbolic foods, and dressed up in costumes that resembled the main characters
Yesterday the Junior Kinder classes, along with Pre-Kinder, joined together to participate in a very special Pesach activity. Using Charoset, the children got the opportunity to think and learn about how the Avadim made bricks to build cities and palaces in Mitzrayim all those years ago.
Across the Junior School the sounds of Pesach are in the air as children sing and act their way through the Haggadah. Positioning themselves in the shoes of our ancestors, the Year 3 students were thrilled by a visit from Rabbi Yossi and his travelling Matzah Factory.
Our strongest Years 7 to 11 swimmers competed in the EISM Swimming Carnival this week. The Carnival featured 16 schools from all over Melbourne. Last year the Sustainability Committee (Year 5 students) Va’ad Echut HaSviva created a beautiful mural out of recycled bottle caps.
