As Year 5 gets to the end of their long journey through the solar system, we are finishing our unit with a Big Bang! In groups, we have been researching a planet of our choosing and learning about what life would be like like on a brand new planet. With a much shorter orbit around the sun, a day on Mercury would only be about 10 hours, meanwhile if we were born on Neptune, we would have to wait 144 years for our first birthday! 

As part of our project, we also constructed models of what our planet would look like. These models have been made out of recycled paper for paper mache and biodegradable clay.
