Shakespeare in our homes

A drum, a drum Shakespere doth come…

Years 8 and 9 English students played the audience to performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth respectively.  While Lysander cautions Hermia to remember that “the course of true love never did run smooth”, luckily for us the course of virtual live productions ran very smoothly indeed. From the drama and suspense of Macbeth deliberating over the “sorry sight” of his actions to the wit and mischievousness from Puck and the fairies in the forest; the traditional stage was simply reimagined to a virtual one.

With a special mention to Year 8 volunteer actors: Jemma, Jules, Harriet and Mika for their excellent performances.  Bravo!
