Ruby Moon captivates

Our VCE Theatre Studies students performed Matt Cameron’s Absurdist Black Comedy, ‘Ruby Moon’, over three nights this week. This production invited audiences to enter a nightmarish world where the boundaries between reality and illusion become increasingly blurred.

As part of their VCE study, students are required to interpret a play text through their selected production roles across the three stages of the production proces:; ‘planning’, ‘development’ and ‘presentation’. Head of Performing Arts, Eli Erez, said that “Matt Cameron’s ‘Ruby Moon’ has offered our students rich opportunities to communicate the intended meanings of this script.” Audience members said that play was electric. Well done to everyone involved, including Alumnus Teige Cordiner (Class of 2023) who helped with sound production.
