The World’s Greatest Shave at the RMC
On Tuesday lunchtime King David, for the very first time, facilitated the World’s Greatest Shave, organised by the Tikkun Olam Va’ada. The World’s Greatest Shave is an amazing charity group that supports those affected by leukaemia, by having people volunteer to get their hair cut or shaved in front of the whole school in order to both show support for the cause and to fundraise donations.
Six students and one teacher, Hani Ron, participated in the shave, managing to raise more than $8,600 from donations across the KDS community.
It was an amazing event, with nearly the whole school packing into the RMC hall to cheer on and support the incredible volunteers, and truly an outstanding school achievement for such a worthy cause. A special thanks to the hairdressers who helped with the shave, Kate McCleary and Adam Ouliel, who graciously volunteered their time and expertise that allowed the shave to take place!
It was a privilege to have such a resounding success. Hopefully, the World’s Greatest Shave will be run again by King David in the future!
Thank you, The Tikkun Olam Va’ada
