Co-Curricular Offerings for Everyone

From Touch Rugby to Musical Theatre, Robotics to Ruach, Painting to Debating - all students are encouraged explore their passions and find themselves outside of the classroom.

Sports

Our active students can engage in before school sport training at both campuses, inter-school competitive sport from Years 5 - 12 and fitness sessions in the Magid Campus gym. We participate in the BDPSSA and EISM competitions and have recently been the winners in basketball, cross-country, softball and soccer.

STEM

Students have access to our MAKERS studio at our Magid Campus where they can create and program robots, use the 3D printer and work on hardware projects. At the Junior School the GiST club facilitates students to conduct science experiments at lunch time.

Music

Students can choose to learn a wide range of instruments, including voice, strings, woodwind, brass and percussion. Students practise tuning, balance, collaboration and sight reading in ensembles, including choirs, bands and orchestra. They gain performance experience at our regular music soirees, and Spring Concert.

Lunchtime Clubs

Our student run lunchtime clubs grow our student leaders and allow students to choose activites that interest them each lunch time. At the Junior School, teachers run clubs ranging from art to lego to Jewish joy.

Outdoor Education from the very beginning

The King David School's Outdoor Education program enhances classroom learning through hands-on experiences. From ELC to VCE, students develop essential life skills while engaging with nature in a structured, adventure-based curriculum. Students embark on their first overnight camp in Year 3, culminating in four weeks away in Year 10.

In the Spotlight - Performing Arts

All students in our Junior School perform in an annual production. At our Magid Campus, our Middle School musical alternates each year with our Senior School musical. Every other year there is a Years 6-12 musical and a Years 8-10 theatre production.

Prep to Year 2 Musical

Students are introduced to learning lines, dancing, working together and wearing costumes in our inventive Prep to Year 2 musical each year. Every student has a part.

Years 3 - 5 Production

Every student has a line in the annual Years 3-5 Production which builds on the performance skills learned from Prep to Year 2.

Years 6 - 9 Musical

Whether new or seasoned performers, all Middle School students can participate in the musical. The lead roles are audioned while the ensemble is for everyone. Students learn time management, collaboration and creative skills as they work together.

Years 9 - 12 Musical

The Years 9 -12 Musical takes place in Term One, allowing our VCE students to participate without compromising their studies. From Legally Blonde to Mamma Mia, the musical is always top sphere.
