Students from Years 10 to 12 were treated to a visit from Australian champion and 2 x Olympian Kyle Vander-Kuyp this week. His visit was timed with National Reconciliation Week.

Kyle talked about the importance of home, connection and love and support. He spoke about the psychological influence when it comes to elite sports as well as how sport drove him to succeed as a youngster. This was especially significant as he said he was considered to be very different and treated very differently during school and after school. 

Kyle brought in some memorabilia from World Championships, the Commonwealth and Olympic games for students to inspect and appreciate. They then had the opportunity to ask Kyle questions.
