As the Year 12 cohort nears the halfway mark of their final year, much of their focus has been on time management. Finding a healthy balance between studies, work, and exercise can be a challenge, but it is a vital part of surviving and thriving through the rigours of VCE.
In Kesher Gadol this week, the Year 12s were introduced to a new concept: The Reset taken from the Streetsmart Handbook magazine, February 2026 edition. The Reset is all about finding small, simple activities to do when you need to refocus and recharge. To help them put this idea into practice, students were greeted by their Kesher Teachers and YLC as they entered the Kings’ Retreat, where they were able to “Reset” by moving through four different stations:
- Detox: Sipping cups of chamomile, green, or peppermint tea while catching up with friends.
- Rejuvenation: Spending time practising mindful meditation to re-centre themselves.
- Remedial: Having the option to enjoy a relaxing neck, head, or foot massage from their peers.
- Arts & Crafts: Channeling their creativity by making stress balls and juggling balls.
By the end of the session, the cohort was ready to return and take on the rest of the day with a renewed spring in their step.
