Farmers for a day - Gan Zayit

In Gan Zayit this Term, we began learning and understanding more about Pets, which then progressed and led to talking about farm animals!

So we decided to go visit some!

Chesterfield Farm was the perfect location for a whole day's adventure. Chesterfield Farm is a historical farm situated in Scoresby, and operates as an educational animal farm.

The morning started with a tractor ride around the property, then the children were given dry food to feed sheep, alpacas, deer, goats, camels, and kangaroos. We learned more about cows and they actually had a turn each milking one! We watched a sheepdog rounding up the sheep and of course, petted all the baby animals in the nursery.

Everyone agreed it was a great excursion and learning experience!
