Yom Ha'atzmaut at Kinder and Junior School

On Yom HaAtzmaut, students “travelled” around Israel and experienced different activities.

The day began with a wonderful tekkes and flag parade, presented by our Year 2 students.

After the ceremony, students went to Independence Hall, where they talked about how Israel was made and they made flags with Jewish and Israeli symbols.

Students played games at the “beach”, where some wonderful parent artists decorated them with blue and white face paint to get in the spirit of the day.  They dug for ancient ...

Anne Frank Exhibition

On Friday the 12 April, Year 8 students were fortunate to attend Anne Frank – ‘A History For Today’, a traveling exhibition held at the Jewish Holocaust Center.

Students watched a short film which detailed the events of Anne Frank’s life, which led to her period of time in hiding in ‘The Annex’.

They were then guided around the exhibit and heard the testimony of a Holocaust survivor who had also been in hiding in Amsterdam. The students found this to be ...

Senior Kindergarten Dance Excursion

On Thursday, 60 extremely enthusiastic kindergarten children boarded The King David School bus for our very first Senior Kinder excursion.
The short bus trip took us to The Space Dance & Arts Centre for a 45-minute dance workshop.

Our dance teacher, Hayley, was patient as our over-excited classes tried their best to calm down and listen to her instructions! She led us through a number of fun games, including pretending to be animals.
We stretched our bodies and then played a ...
