Year 5 Camp

The Year 5 students were excited to go to Gilwell Park for their four day camp. They experienced a variety of activities that built on previous experiences.  The activities challenged them individually and required them to work as supportive team members. The activities included High Ropes Course, Low Ropes Course, Flying Fox, Climbing Wall, Canoeing, Raft Building, Bushwalking and the muddy Gauntlet.

Higgins Medal

The Higgins Medal is a school award designed to recognise and foster leadership and leadership potential in the next generation of Australians.  Kelly O’Dwyer (Federal member for Higgins) initiated the award. Schools receive a perpetual shield and the winner receives a certificate and blazer pin. The inaugural winner at The King David School is Shira Appelboom. Mazel Tov Shira!

CanSat Team

Australia’s only CanSat Team finished in equal 3rd place at the end of the final stage of the international CanSat France competition, held on the French missle testing facility (DGA-EM) in Biscarrosse recently.

The King David School has tonight delivered a triumphant production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s complex and subtle music theatre piece “Into the Woods”. 2012 Business Breakfast

Another highly successful Business Breakfast, hosted by the School was enjoyed by the nearly 350 guests who attended.

In the plush Ballroom  of the Park Hyatt Hotel, our President, Mark Harrison, explained that the annual Business Breakfast is our biggest fundraiser of the year, with the proceeds going to our Scholarship Fund, which offers scholarships and financial assistance to existing and potential students.
