Igniting the love of learning

In celebration of Lag B’Omer, our Kindergarten children helped prepared the fire pit with pretend marshmallows made from crepe paper yesterday at Pre-School. They prepared the gum leaves and helped with getting the roast potatoes into tin foil for cooking. All the children at the Pre-School were greeted by Meital and she led everyone in Acknowledgement of Country. She told the story about Lag B’Omer and highlighted the importance of us being strong Jews and strong people.

Jake played his guitar and we all joined in singing Hinei Ma Tov, David Melech Yisrael, Adom Olam and Hava Nagila.

To finish the lovely morning, Meital led the children in smelling the gum leaves, smelling the burnt wood and using the charcoal for drawing.

What a lovely experience we had all coming together as a whole Pre-School!
