Foundation 5000 was established in 2004 to support
the continuing development of The King David School.
By becoming a Chaver of Foundation 5000 you share
The King David School’s vision of offering
a unique learning environment that enables it to
enhance and further develop itself as Australia’s
leading Jewish Community Day School.
The King David School is one of the oldest progressive
Jewish Day Schools in the world and has a strong
reputation of educational leadership. The funds
raised with the support of Foundation 5000 Chaverim
are applied to specifically nominated projects of
educational and sporting value across the three
School campuses. Aim
To support the ongoing development of the King David
School through funding major projects Objectives
To act as an Alumni of committed members to the
ongoing development of community based Jewish education
in Melbourne
To raise funds on a project by project basis for
the School
To promote Foundation 5000 to other potential members
To Act as ambassadors of the School in promoting
the values of the School Benefits
An opportunity to give children a Jewish education
An acknowledgement of the value of Jewish education
in Melbourne
The strengthening of King David’s culture
of helping each other
An opportunity to network with other members and
invited guests through Foundation 5000 events, held
twice a year
Recognition, if desired, through an honour board
Obligations
Once you have donated $5000 or more, you become
a “Chaver”
Foundation 5000 commits to raising funds for specific
projects every year and Chaverim will be asked join
in supporting the school.
Chaver, unable to financially contribute in any
given year will be asked to introduce 3 new members
a year to Foundation 5000 Membership
Criteria
Anyone who donates $5000 or more to the School is
included as a ‘Chaver’. Administration
Management of Foundation 5000 is under the auspices
of The King David School Foundation. Foundation
5000 works as a semi autonomous body in raising
funds for the School on projects agreed with The
King David School Foundation. Membership
