School camps are an integral part of our educational program from Years 3 to 11. They provide a range of physical challenges to students and offer opportunities for student to extend their peer relationships. Each year the activities undertaken by the students extend their skills and knowledge.

Year 3 Camp is a one night experience to allow the students to become accustomed to spending time away from home and to give them an introduction to Outdoor Education Activities. At Year 4 students participate in a two night camp where they go on a bush walk and experience the delights of bush cooking. Ballarat and the Goldfields are the focus for the Year 5 Camp. In Year 6 the students travel by plane to Tasmania where they visit Freycinet National Park, Mariah Island, Port Arthur and Hobart. During this camp the student experience their first camp out at Freycinet National Park. The camp for Year 7 students is held very early in Term 1 to provide the students with the opportunity to develop new friendships and a support network. They undertake many outdoor activities such as mountain biking, bush walking an overnight bush camp and cooking. The Year 8’s participate in an expedition style camp where they hike with backpacks, set up camp each night and cook all their own meals. They also participate in adventure sports and initiative activities. The Year 9 camp is an integral part of the Year 9 Expanding Horizons Program. The Year 10 ski /Zionist camp provides students with the opportunity to develop their skiing or snow boarding abilities as well as learning about safety in an alpine environment. The program culminates in the Year 11 Camp where the students learn to sail and participate in a race where they are required to find as many checkpoints as possible.

Attendance at school camps is compulsory and refunds will not be given if a child is unable to attend a camp. If your child is concerned about attending camp, please speak to the Student Wellbeing Co-ordinator. Camps are kosher catered.
