Year 12 Theatre Studies Students Perform Hedda Gabler

After months of effort and hard work, the students of the VCE Theatre Studies class were finally able to perform their play for 2013 to an audience – Henrik Ibsen’s classic, Hedda Gabler.

The Year 12 performance is the result of the year’s biggest group effort, as opposed to the monologues later in the year which the students must work on individually.

Hebrew Master Class

This week VCE Hebrew students had the opportunity to advance their creative writing skills while participating in a Master Class run by Lee Kofman.

An Israeli-Australian author of three books (in Hebrew), Kofman worked with our students on techniques in creative Hebrew writing.

Her publications (fiction, non-fiction and poetry in English) have appeared in Australia, UK and USA (Griffith REVIEW, Westerly and more). She is the recipient of the Australian Council Grant, several writing residencies and ASA mentorship, and is currently ...

Grand Prix Champion

Grand Prix Champion

The King David School is honoured to be presenting its Australian champion robot, Ball-E, at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, as part of BAE Systems “Driving Careers, Driving Success” program.

This program aims to encourage student learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and will run throughout the four days of the Grand Prix.  The King David School’s FIRST Robotics program is sponsored by the Robert Feigin Memorial Scholarship Trust.

Back to School Service

All students from Years 6 to 12 attended the Back to School Service at Temple Beth Israel on Thursday, 14 February to mark the beginning of the School’s 36th academic year.

Many parents of student leaders and Year 12 students were also present to witness student leaders and Year 12 students being inducted.

It was an opportunity to spiritually prepare for the year ahead and give thanks for the many opportunities that being a student at The King David School provides.

Year 11/12 School Formal

A breeze of excitement swept through the air as the eager year 11 and 12s strode into school on the Thursday morning. Class went by quickly with mutters of preparations and “whose wearing what” conversations. The students were dismissed at 2:05 precisely and in a disciplined manner exited the school premises in order to prepare for the upcoming occasion.
